General Otolaryngologist

Position Summary

The Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at UNC School of Medicine is seeking a board‑certified, eligible, or similarly qualified Otolaryngologist for a full‑time Clinical Assistant Professor position. Responsibilities include clinic coverage, operating room coverage of a correctional facility two days per week, and hospital consult coverage for the remainder of the week. A wide range of otolaryngology skills is required, with an interest or willingness to learn facial trauma surgery highly encouraged. The successful candidate should have a strong interest in teaching and research and will have ample opportunity for exposure to all facets of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery patient care.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

• MD required.
• Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible (BC/BE).

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience

• Interest or willingness to learn facial trauma surgery.
