Sanford Health is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Ophthalmologist to join an established practice at Marshfield Medical Center - Minocqua. This role involves providing comprehensive eye care, including medical and surgical diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases, supported by a dedicated team and advanced diagnostic equipment. The position also includes outreach support to Park Falls, collaborating with a strong referral base of two established Optometrists.

Responsibilities
- Provide eye care for all conditions of the eye and surrounding structures, both routine and urgent (medical and surgical diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the eye).
- Perform history and physical examination.
- Admit (if applicable to setting).
- Evaluate, diagnose, consult, and provide nonsurgical and surgical procedures on patients of all ages with ocular, and visual disorders, including those of the eye and its component structures, the eyelids, the orbit and the visual pathways.

Requirements
- BE/BC Ophthalmologist.
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Experience can be demonstrated by a residency log for recent graduates.
- Applicants not directly out of residency must provide a quality profile from current hospitals showing clinical activity for the past 12 months, including numbers of procedures performed, morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications.
- Applicants must be able to demonstrate at least 50 Ophthalmology procedures in the last 12 months.
- Successful completion of a hospital affiliated Ophthalmology residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
- Applicants not board certified at the time of application but who have completed residency training within the last five years must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training.
