General Neurologist

Overview

The Department of Neurology at the University of Minnesota and UMPhysicians is recruiting a full‑time general neurologist for the M Health Fairview – Woodbury Neurology clinic. Highly qualified candidates who are committed to excellence in patient care, possess strong clinical skills and have an interest in clinical investigation and education are encouraged to apply.

Position Highlights

• Outpatient general neurology services in community clinics; optional time on University campus.
• Minimal inpatient coverage expected; no acute stroke call.
• Optional EMG, read EEG, inject botulinum toxin if training criteria met.
• Supervise and train medical students and residents if desired.
• Academic promotion through clinical pathway; no publication or research funding required.
• Salaried position with ability to earn bonus stipend.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Neurology residency training program.
• Board Certified or Board Prepared with the American Board of Medical Specialties, American Osteopathic Association Licensed, or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice licensure.
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
• Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
• Excellent teaching and interpersonal skills.

Pay and Benefits

• Base salary range: $218,757 - $344,326 (cFTE) based on experience and qualifications.
