Neurologist

Sanford Health, one of the largest not-for-profit health systems in the U.S., is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Neurologist to join its team at Marshfield Medical Center - Dickinson in Iron Mountain, Michigan. This role focuses on outpatient general neurology services and offers an excellent work/life balance with no call. The position encourages involvement in medical education and research to support patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform history and physical examination
• Admit patients (if applicable to the setting)
• Provide consultative services
• Evaluate, diagnose, and provide nonsurgical care to patients of all ages presenting with illnesses, injuries, and disorders of the neurologic system
• EEG interpretation

Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible General Neurologist
• Proficiency in EEG interpretation is required
• M.D. or D.O. degree
• Successful completion of a Neurology residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
• Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
• If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training
