QUALIFICATIONS
- Operate all store equipment and manage inventory.
- Prepare products, receive and process telephone orders, and complete associated paperwork.
- Perform daily cleaning of equipment and facility.
- Pass basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and give correct monetary change.
- Communicate clearly and accurately via telephone and in person.
- Use keyboard or touch screen to enter orders quickly and accurately.
- Demonstrate good motor coordination and eye‑hand coordination for fast, precise movements.
- Maintain high verbal, written, and telephone skills.
- Complete orientation and training provided on the job.
WORK CONDITIONS
- Varying indoor temperatures (36–90°F) and occasional rapid changes.
- Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, fumes, hot surfaces up to 500°F, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
- Work requires standing, walking around tile, ceramics, or linoleum areas, and occasional climbing of stairs or ladders.
- Physical tasks include lifting up to 72‑pounds onto shelves, carrying 30‑pound weights, pushing and pulling trays on dollies, and frequent bending or reaching above 72 inches.
- Operates in outdoor environments with varying weather when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
SENSING
- Requires clear hearing for telephone communication and near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks.
- Farsight and night vision are required for delivery driving duties.
TEMPERAMENTS
- Direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work both independently and with teams, cope with stress, meet strict quality controls, interact with people, analyze data, make judgments, and maintain high standards.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Standing: most tasks are performed from a standing position.
- Walking: short distances with surfaces of ceramic tile or bricks with linoleum; work surfaces height 36‑48 inches.
- Sitting: paperwork is usually done at a desk or table.
- Lifting: handling bulk deliveries up to 50 pounds and stacking pallets up to 72 inches.
- Carrying: handling high‑weight cans, sauces, and pizza dough trays up to 12 pounds.
- Pushing/Pulling: moving trays or dollies requiring up to 7.5 pounds of force.
- Climbing: occasional navigation of stairs or ladders.
DRIVING AND DELIVERY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver product by car to customer door; distribute flyers and door hangers.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record and have access to an insured vehicle for deliveries.
- Navigate adverse terrain, multi‑story buildings, and private homes while carrying products.
- May complete several deliveries per shift, traveling between store, vehicle, and customers.
- Perform walking and climbing during deliveries; may need to navigate five or more flights of stairs.
