Responsibilities
The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and ensuring it meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. The role works with a leader to set restaurant goals and develops plans to achieve them.
- Lead a team of Department Managers, each with specific responsibilities in the restaurant.
- Help Department Managers set their own goals, monitor progress, and provide mentoring and direction to improve their departments and the overall restaurant.
- Hire, train, and develop Department and Shift Managers to maintain a capable leadership team.
Requirements
- Previous General Manager experience running high‑volume locations.
- Strong background in quick‑service restaurants preferred; experience in hospitality or retail is also desirable.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
