General Manager

Integrated Neurology and Pain Management (INPM) provides comprehensive neurological and interventional pain care across the East Bay, with clinics in Vallejo and Walnut Creek. We're growing — and we're looking for a General Manager who can bring structure, accountability, and operational excellence to our practice as we scale to new locations.

The Role

INPM is hiring a General Manager to serve as the operational backbone of the practice. This person will own the day-to-day business functions of both clinics — HR, staffing, performance management, and KPI reporting — while acting as a strategic partner to ownership on growth planning. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role for someone who wants to help build a multi-site healthcare group, not just maintain one.

What You'll Own

People & HR

• Recruiting, hiring, and onboarding for clinical and administrative staff
• New employee orientation, training plans, and 90-day check-ins
• Performance reviews, disciplinary processes, and terminations (in coordination with ownership/legal counsel)
• Employee handbook maintenance, PTO/leave administration, and compliance with CA labor law
• Building a scalable HR infrastructure that can support additional locations

Performance & KPI Management

• Design and maintain KPI dashboards by location and by employee/provider (patient volume, no-show rate, collections, days in A/R, patient satisfaction, staff productivity)
• Run regular performance check-ins with staff based on KPI data
• Flag underperformance trends early and build improvement plans
• Report operational and financial performance to ownership on a regular cadence

Clinic Operations

• Oversee day-to-day operations at both sites: scheduling, patient flow, staffing coverage, supply/inventory management
• Serve as escalation point for patient complaints and service recovery
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CA medical board requirements, and payer credentialing timelines
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts (equipment, supplies, facilities, service providers)
• Own EMR administration and workflow optimization across sites

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA, MHA, or equivalent experience strongly preferred
• 5+ years managing medical practice operations, ideally multi-site
• Experience in a specialty practice (neurology, pain management, orthopedics, or similar) a strong plus
• Working knowledge of medical billing/RCM, payer credentialing, and EMR systems
• Demonstrated HR experience: hiring, performance management, employee relations
• Strong analytical skills — comfortable building and reading KPI dashboards (Excel required; BI tool experience a plus)
• A builder's mindset: comfortable creating systems and processes where none exist yet
• Excellent communication skills and the judgment to operate with real autonomy
