General ManagerThe General Manager is responsible for effectively managing all facets of their gym, including, but not limited to hiring, training, development of team members and overall gym operations. Including delivering excellent customer service to our members while role-modeling the organization's values and culture.We Offer:Competitive payTraining programsEmployee discounts and perksPromotion opportunitiesFitness-minded workplace cultureCertification discounts (NASM, ACE, ISSA, or NCCA accredited equivalent)Plus, additional perks!Member Experience Responsibilities:Deliver exceptional gym member experienceOversee member experience within the gym and lead by exampleProvide and maintain the highest level of customer service to our membersProvide effective decision-making regarding customer service issues to provide a positive member experienceEnsure our members receive the best fitness experience by walking the gym floor and assisting members when neededManages member feedback of gymTeam Member Experience Responsibilities:Deliver exceptional team member experienceHire, train and schedule all gym-level staffTrains and develops front desk team members and/or frontline team members regarding all standard operating processes involving member acquisition and onboardingManage and evaluate the performance of all gym team membersOversees team member bi-weekly payroll to ensure all missed punches are corrected and submitted on time with payroll signed off by indicated deadlineGym Management Responsibilities:Facilitate and monitor company-wide initiativesEnsure facility is clean and operationally sound & assist in organizing weights and inspecting equipment to ensure it is in working orderEffectively manages the operations of the gym, including managing gym-controllable inventory and assetsBe an ambassador of your gym by promoting and staying aware of your gym's social media and digital presenceUnderstands budgeting, inventory, payroll, labor management, and facilities maintenanceHave business acumen that includes an understanding of the competitive landscape and community around the gymStay aware of all job postings for your gym, and ensure interviews are performed on a consistent basis to prevent any open positions in operations or fitnessQualifications:Fitness industry experience preferred but not requiredPromotionally-oriented and have the ability to direct sales through company required outreach programsStrong customer service orientation with proven resultsUnderstanding of performance metrics including P&L, revenue, budgeting, inventory, payroll, cost controls and facilities maintenanceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsOpen, participative leadership style and drive for excellenceStrong work ethic, integrity, and professional demeanorAbout Gold's Gym:What started out in 1965 as a small gym in Venice Beach, California has since become the most well-known and traditional fitness company in the world -- Gold's Gym.
