Role Description
The General Manager is a full‑time, on‑site leadership role based in the Greater Sioux Falls Area, responsible for overseeing daily studio operations and driving membership growth. This role manages sales processes, leads front desk and instructor teams, and ensures that members receive an exceptional and consistent studio experience. The General Manager monitors key performance metrics, coordinates class schedules, and partners with instructors to align programming with member needs and brand standards. Daily responsibilities include managing local marketing initiatives, handling member inquiries and feedback, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The General Manager also oversees budgeting, basic financial reporting, and compliance with company policies and franchise guidelines.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, coaching, and performance management.
- Strong sales and customer service skills, with experience in membership or subscription‑based business environments.
- Operational management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, reporting, and process improvement.
- Marketing and community outreach skills, with the ability to plan and execute local studio promotions and events.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with members, staff, and partners.
- Comfort working in a fast‑paced fitness or wellness setting; prior experience in boutique fitness or studio management is preferred.
- Proficiency with basic office software and point‑of‑sale or CRM systems; ability to learn new technology platforms quickly.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, fitness management, or a related field is a plus.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, based on studio needs.
