The General Manager is responsible for the operational, financial, and customer-facing performance of a high-volume manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this leader will oversee facility operations, manage key customer relationships, deliver executive-level presentations, and lead strategic projects.
The ideal candidate combines manufacturing leadership, financial acumen, project-management experience, and strong executive presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead facility operations, including production, quality, safety, maintenance, logistics, and workforce performance.
- Serve as the primary senior-level contact for key customers and executive stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver C-suite presentations, business reviews, and operational and financial performance updates.
- Manage P&L performance, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Lead customer and operational projects, managing timelines, risks, priorities, and deliverables.
- Monitor KPIs and improve safety, quality, service, productivity, and profitability.
- Develop facility leadership and promote accountability and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, transportation, and industry regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Five or more years of senior leadership experience in manufacturing or high-volume production.
- Demonstrated success managing operations, financial performance, customer relationships, and teams.
- Experience presenting to C-suite executives and senior customer stakeholders.
- Strong project-management, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven executive presence and ability to build credibility across all organizational levels.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, presentation software, and business reporting systems.
