Salary Range: $50,000 – $70,000 per year.

Job Purpose

The Operating Partner manages restaurant operations to achieve guest satisfaction, sales growth, efficiency, and maximum profitability. The OP oversees all restaurant operations at the assigned location.

Essential Functions

  1. Provide input and recommendations to the ADO in preparing an annual forecast and business plan, and continuously monitor store performance against the plan.
  2. Recommend and implement approved Local Store Marketing programs in coordination with the ADO and other OPs; analyze program effectiveness and assist direct reports in developing and executing plans.
  3. Manage accomplishment of key financial measures:
    • Cost of sales, labor cost and store‑controllables factors are analyzed daily, weekly, and accounting period basis; take corrective actions for variances.
    • Ensure compliance with cash control and security procedures.
    • Maintain appropriate product inventories consistent with projected business.
    • Maintain high quality standards within budgeted expense objectives.
  4. Recruit, select, hire, train, and promote qualified team members; ensure staffing levels meet business conditions.
  5. Develop, coach, and discipline direct reports to achieve goals while maintaining operational excellence and brand system requirements.
  6. Cultivate and maintain KMG’s desired culture at all staff levels.
  7. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding employment matters.
  8. Conduct regular performance reviews for all management staff supervised.
  9. Motivate and support supervised staff in achieving restaurant business objectives.
  10. Address team satisfaction issues and turnover, maintaining a positive environment and correcting problems promptly.
  11. Create and update direct reports’ personnel files in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  12. Ensure consistent guest satisfaction ratings, including speed, at or above Freddy’s national average.
  13. Address all guest concerns and resolve them timely.
  14. Adhere to all Freddy’s operational requirements.
  15. Meet Occupational Safety & Health Act, local health and safety codes, and KMG’s safety and security policies.
  16. Ensure all required training programs and LTOs are planned and implemented effectively.
  17. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending approved KMG management meetings.
  18. Conduct weekly physical inventory counts and enter data accurately.
  19. Deposit funds to the bank in compliance with KMG’s banking policy.
  20. Store received products and supplies appropriately.
  21. Maintain proper stock rotation and quality.
  22. Verify accuracy of calculated hours worked for team members and report payroll bi‑weekly.
  23. Submit accurate and complete weekly and accounting period paperwork.
  24. Ensure restaurant facility is clean and all equipment is operational to standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

  1. Three to five years of restaurant management or related experience.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Excellent guest service skills and ability to build relationships.
  4. Ability to read and interpret sales analysis, COGS, P & L, invoices, procedure manuals, and job instructions.
  5. Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence.
  6. Basic mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide, calculate percentages.
  7. Apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
  8. Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  9. Work flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  10. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  11. Operate computer and store operating system software.
  12. Maintain confidentiality.
  13. Pass background check per KMG standards.
  14. Available to work morning, day, and evening shifts including weekends; minimum 50 hours per week or as needed.
  15. Physically capable of standing, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs; meet vision and hearing requirements.
  16. Work environment: well‑lit, heated/air‑conditioned indoor setting; occasional exposure to outdoor elements and high noise levels; requires constant travel under varying weather.
  17. Non‑expired driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  18. Current food service certificates as required by state law and KMG procedures.
  19. Manager Certification per KMG procedures.
  20. Occasional travel by airline.
