The General Manager is responsible for the successful administration and coordination of all departments within the casino. The General Manager plans, directs, and coordinates activities with department managers, and is responsible for the following:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
  • Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Plan and schedule casino events and promotions with Marketing Department.
  • Review appropriate training session schedules as needed. (Counterfeit detection, Title 31, ACE-Alcohol Compliance Education, Cleet, etc.)
  • Review and resolve employee complaints and conflicts.
  • Assist department managers and staff when questions arise concerning policies and procedures.
  • Interact with Gaming commission with regards to gaming licenses.
  • Recommend changes in Personnel Policy and Procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by Chief Executive Officer.

Authority and Supervisory Capacity

  • Review employee disciplinary actions and employee reviews.
  • Ensure all employees are being treated equally.
  • Review and resolve all employee complaints and conflicts which cannot be handled by the Department Managers.

Qualification Standards

  • Minimum high school education or G.E.D. (Prefer 4-year college degree in business) or equivalent combination of training and experience with willingness to obtain training as requested.
  • Strong supervisory skills with a minimum of 4 years experience in casino or gaming operations.
  • Strong computer skills, including familiarity with computer networks.
  • Good math and communication skills. (Both oral and written)
  • Good understanding of all rules and regulations related to budget information, work schedules, and corporate policies.
  • Ability to make decisions.
  • Must maintain valid Cheyenne and Arapaho Gaming License.

Signatory Authority

All checking accounts, with signatory limits as assigned by CEO.

Access to Sensitive Areas

All areas of the Casino.

Salary

Negotiable.
