Seeking a General Manager to oversee all aspects of the manufacturing facility, with full accountability for the plant’s overall profitability and performance. This role will lead, plan, and direct plant operations to achieve key objectives related to safety, quality, production efficiency, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead Facility Operations: Oversee all aspects of facility operations, including manufacturing, purchasing, scheduling, warehousing, shipping/receiving, quality, and customer service.
- Drive Financial Performance: Develop and manage annual budgets, profitability and EBITDA targets, working capital, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Support Growth & Continuous Improvement: Partner with sales to execute business strategies and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, processes, and performance.
- Lead People & Safety: Oversee hiring, training, employee development, and performance while fostering a strong culture of safety and accountability.
- Ensure Operational Excellence: Enforce company policies and standards while overseeing equipment maintenance, technical operations, reporting, and compliance with quality and production goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Engineering or Business, or equivalent.
- 15+ years of progressive manufacturing experience, with 5+ years of facility leadership experience.
- Plastics processing experience, preferably with knowledge of HDPE processing (extrusion, injection molding, and blow molding)
- FDA-regulated cleanroom environment experience
- Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems
