General Manager — AirMax Hospitality (New York, NY)
AirMax Hospitality is a growing restaurant group operating Tokyo Record Bar, Pearl Box, and Roscioli NYC, with a brand-new concept coming online in early 2027.
The Role
The General Manager is accountable for the financial performance, guest experience, team, and operational integrity of each venue. You'll partner closely with our Director of Operations on financial and operational goals and with our brand and hospitality leadership on the guest-facing standards that define each concept, but the day-to-day execution and the outcomes are yours.
What You'll Own
- Full P&L. Revenue, labor, cost of goods, and controllable expenses.
- The floor. You lead service, set the pace, and are a visible, present leader during service.
- The team. Recruiting, training, developing, and retaining FOH and BOH teams. You build a strong culture of accountability, teamwork, and high standards.
- Standards execution. You ensure that all brand standards are met every night for every guest-facing interaction.
- Systems and reporting. Scheduling, inventory, reservations-platform management, and clean, on-time reporting up to the ops team.
- Events and private dining execution. Partnering with our events and catering leadership to deliver private events and buyouts on the floor without compromising the regular business.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of General Manager or senior AGM experience in fine dining restaurants - ideally across more than one concept or style.
- A true P&L operator. You've owned a budget and can speak fluently to margins, labor models, and cost controls.
- A floor leader first. You lead by presence and example, and you're energized by service.
- A builder of people. You have a track record of developing managers and keeping strong teams intact in a tight labor market.
- Disciplined and detail-obsessed. You can execute someone else's standards with precision and pride, and you sweat the details that guests feel but can't name.
- Fluent in modern restaurant systems - POS, scheduling, reservations, and inventory platforms - and comfortable with data.
- Calm under pressure, with the emotional intelligence to lead a diverse team and host a demanding guest.
