The General Manager is the senior on-site leader, overseeing all aspects of front-of-house operations, directly supervising the management team and hourly FOH staff. This role is both strategic and hands-on — setting the tone for hospitality, guiding team development, and ensuring smooth daily service while driving the restaurant toward its financial and operational goals.
What You’ll Do
- Lead all FOH operations with a strong, visible presence on the floor.
- Build lasting relationships with regulars, high-importance guests, and new guests alike.
- Directly supervise, mentor, and develop managers, supervisors and hourly staff.
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training — ensuring all staff complete training schedules, use accurate training materials, and pass required validations before working live shifts.
- Ensure food and beverage guides are kept up-to-date with current menu offerings.
- Manage reservations, including book edits for special events and holidays.
- Partner with the culinary team to deliver seamless service and maintain ticket-time standards.
- Oversee financial performance, including forecasting, P&L, cost control, and labor management.
- Work with the Beverage Director to align the bar program with company standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of FOH and BOH areas to ensure DOH readiness and facility upkeep.
- Lead and support special projects and company initiatives.

What You’ll Need
- Strong knowledge and working proficiency in financial operations (forecasting, P&L management, cost controls, labor tracking).
- Proficiency in POS systems (Toast), reservation platforms (Resy), HRM platforms (Harri) and Google Workspace.
- NYC DOH Food Handler & ServSafe Management certification (or within 90 days).
- Sexual harassment prevention training certification (within 30 days).
- English fluency (verbal and written).
