A leading automotive manufacturing company specializing in high-volume metal stamping and related components for major OEM customers is seeking a General Manager in the Greater Nashville, Tennessee area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead overall plant and business operations, ensuring key performance metrics are achieved
- Partner across functional teams to optimize production, material utilization, quality, delivery, and customer service
- Drive initiatives related to safety, environmental compliance, labor, equipment, materials, processes, and customer relationships
- Promote Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
- Oversee manufacturing processes, automation, robotics, tooling, equipment, and preventive maintenance
- Ensure compliance with automotive quality systems and customer requirements
Candidates Must Have:
- 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in automotive manufacturing
- Must have experience with metal stamping and tool & die processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
- Knowledge of material specifications and characteristics used in automotive stampings
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, welding, tooling, automation, robotics, and production processes
- Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Working knowledge of equipment/tooling design, gauges, preventive maintenance, and Basic Equipment Care (BEC)
- Experience with automotive quality systems and Total Quality Production System (TQPS) principles
