A large-scale chemical manufacturing organization is seeking a General Manager / Senior Plant Manager to lead a flagship manufacturing operation.
About the Role
This role has overall responsibility for site safety, operations, maintenance, reliability, environmental performance, cost management, and leadership development. The successful candidate will lead a complex manufacturing organization and play a key role in driving operational performance, workforce development, and long‑term site success.
Responsibilities
- Lead safety, environmental, and operational performance across the site
- Drive production, reliability, and cost performance objectives
- Develop and mentor operations and manufacturing leaders
- Align operations, maintenance, engineering, and support functions
- Lead continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
- Support capital projects, turnarounds, and long‑term strategic planning
- Build a culture of accountability, engagement, and operational discipline
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Chemical Engineering preferred
- 15+ years of manufacturing leadership experienceExperience leading large‑scale chemical, petrochemical, refining, or other process manufacturing operations
- Strong understanding of PSM-regulated manufacturing environments
- Experience leading cross-functional teams across operations, maintenance, engineering, and reliability
- Demonstrated success improving safety, reliability, production, and organizational performance
