Summary
The General Manager acts as the CEO of the store, accountable for delivering a luxury client experience while driving sales and profitability. This role focuses on leading and developing the store team, upholding visual and presentation standards, and managing store operations and inventory. The GM is responsible for meeting key performance indicators and ensuring a high-performance retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver an exceptional client experience through the store service model and ensure all employees follow service standards.
- Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop store team members and build bench strength and succession plans.
- Drive sales and profitability by managing KPIs including conversion, UPT, SPH, ADT, and customer shop metrics.
- Oversee merchandising, presentation, and visual standards to create compelling store environments.
- Manage store operations including shrink control, asset protection, payroll targets, and execution of corporate strategies.
Requirements
- Relevant retail management experience preferred with strong business acumen and sales leadership skills.
- Proficiency with common business applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and retail systems; Workday experience preferred.
- Proven ability to coach, motivate, and develop employees toward performance goals.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, operate register, lift up to 30 lbs, and use ladders as trained.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
