General Manager

Little Trouble is a casual beachside restaurant serving relaxed coastal comfort food, natural wines, and a curated beer selection. We are seeking a General Manager to oversee front-of-house operations and the day-to-day business of the restaurant. The ideal candidate will lead the team, maintain tight operational standards, and partner directly with the Owner and Chef / Kitchen Manager to support the continued growth of the business. Knowledge of natural wine is preferred but not required; primary consideration will be given to leadership and operational experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Recruit, hire, and train front-of-house staff, and maintain a schedule that ensures proper coverage for every shift.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and streamline service processes to enhance the guest experience.
• Monitor restaurant finances, including sales, labor, and expenses, and manage budgets to meet profitability targets.
• Enforce food safety and health regulations in coordination with the kitchen team.
• Address guest feedback and complaints, and identify opportunities to improve guest retention.
• Complete regular reporting on sales, inventory, and staff attendance.
• Partner closely with the Owner and Chef / Kitchen Manager on overall restaurant strategy, events, and growth initiatives.
• Support the wine and beverage program; knowledge of natural wine is preferred but not required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager within a full-service restaurant.
• Strong leadership ability, with demonstrated experience guiding, training, and developing a team.
• Solid understanding of restaurant financials, budgeting, and cost control.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
• Proficiency with restaurant management and point-of-sale software, including reporting functions.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of natural wine is preferred but not required.
