We are looking for an experienced and passionate Restaurant General Manager to join our team.
Overview
As a Restaurant General Manager, your primary responsibility is to the customer, ensuring that every guest has a wonderful experience.
Qualifications
To be successful as a restaurant general manager you should have excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service. You should be someone who leads by example, both in how you interact with your team as well as how to support our guests.
Responsibilities
- Recruit and hire restaurant staff, train and evaluate staff performance
- Oversee food quality, manage food cost, forecast requirements, and maintain inventory
- Develop menus and plan new and update existing menus
- Create and execute restaurant marketing strategies
- Manage restaurant’s tech stack and supplies including smallwares
- Respond efficiently to customer questions and complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction
- Organize and supervise shifts, hire new employees, and terminate employees when necessary
- Manage and lead staff, develop hourly and salary staff
- Control costs and minimize waste
- Create and nurture a positive working environment
- Implement innovative strategies to improve productivity, sales, and food quality
Job Requirements
- Ideally, 5+ years of experience as a Restaurant General Manager or similar role
- Ideally, 5+ years of experience customer service management
- Extensive food and wine knowledge
- Computer literacy
- Familiarity with restaurant management software
- Experience in event planning
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
- Good financial management skills
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Team player
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Culinary school diploma or BS degree in Business Administration
