General Manager – TheKey
The General Manager is responsible for ensuring clients receive excellent care, remaining independent at home, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving revenue and market share for the assigned location(s).
Responsibilities
- Build expertise in all phases of TheKey operations, including client management, caregiver staffing, client acquisition, lead intake, client care management, and referral marketing.
- Lead a cross‑functional team to deliver quality care to clients and caregivers.
- Drive the location’s financial performance, growth, and profitability.
- Create and sustain relationships with key partners to build brand awareness and generate new clients.
- Respond to inquiries, perform assessments with prospective clients, and convert them into TheKey clients.
- Improve client retention by implementing strong processes and oversight, including regular visits, re‑assessments, and ongoing client communication.
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the assigned location(s).
- Contribute to strategic plans, roadmaps, and goals for the market and identify potential development territories.
- Understand local competitors, identify high‑potential talent, and support recruitment, training, and development of new team members.
- Provide after‑hours support for partners and clients (evenings and weekends).
- Assist the billing team to keep client accounts current and communicate with families or financial managers on collections issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in gerontology, health care, social work, or a related profession from an accredited university, or equivalent experience.
- Five to seven years of leadership experience in health care, elder care, social work, or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of budget management and financial monitoring.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including goal setting, training, and mentorship.
- Track record of successfully leading and motivating diverse teams.
- Excellent multitasking, critical thinking, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to travel to client homes and other locations approximately 25% of the time.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods.
