Position Overview

The General Manager is responsible for overall account leadership, client satisfaction, and financial performance for a high-volume enterprise dining program serving approximately 1,500 daily guests across multiple service areas, including a retail café, coffee bar, and catering program.

This role oversees all aspects of the operation, including culinary, front‑of‑house, logistics, and account management, ensuring a seamless and consistent workplace dining experience.

Responsibilities

Account Leadership & Team Management (30%)

  • Lead and develop a cross‑functional team including Executive Chef, Catering Manager, and support teams
  • Establish clear ownership, accountability, and performance expectations across departments
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, and ongoing team development
  • Foster a positive, high‑performance culture aligned with GTF values

Client Relationship & Program Oversight (25%)

  • Serve as the primary client contact and strategic partner
  • Lead regular client meetings, business reviews, and performance discussions
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve the workplace dining experience
  • Ensure alignment between client expectations and operational execution

Financial Management & Business Performance (20%)

  • Own full P&L responsibility for the account, including revenue, labor, and cost of goods
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial targets
  • Monitor KPIs and drive performance improvements across all areas of the account
  • Ensure purchasing, labor, and expense systems and controls are in place and followed

Operational Excellence & Execution (15%)

  • Oversee daily operations across all service areas, ensuring consistency and quality
  • Partner with culinary team to ensure strong production planning and execution
  • Identify and address operational gaps, inefficiencies, and risks
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, workplace safety, and company standards

Growth, Collaboration & Continuous Improvement (10%)

  • Identify opportunities for program growth, enhancement, and innovation
  • Partner with sales and leadership on account expansion and new initiatives
  • Drive process improvements, standardization, and scalability across the account
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support business priorities and ensure successful execution across the account

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years of experience in hospitality, workplace dining, food service, or multi‑unit operations
  • Proven experience managing large teams and complex operations
  • Strong financial acumen with experience owning or influencing P&L performance
  • Experience in high‑volume environments with multiple service streams (café, catering, etc.)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to balance hands‑on execution with strategic oversight
  • A commitment to personal accountability and continuous learning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in enterprise workplace dining or corporate food service
  • Experience managing large‑scale accounts (1,000+ daily guests)
  • Familiarity with CRM, reporting, and operational systems
  • Experience working with high‑visibility clients and stakeholders
  • Experience with project management software (Asana preferred)

  • Compensation: $110,000–$120,000 base + bonus potential
