General Manager | Electrical Construction Operations | Commercial & Industrial

Gryphon Oakwood is representing an established electrical contractor seeking a General Manager to oversee commercial and industrial electrical construction operations, drive project performance and lead teams across multiple projects.

This is an opportunity for an experienced electrical construction leader with strong operational, financial and people-management skills, including a willingness to travel approximately to project sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical construction projects, ensuring safe, timely and profitable delivery
• Drive operational performance, project financials, budgeting, forecasting and cost control
• Lead and support Project Managers, Superintendents and field leadership
• Coordinate staffing, procurement, scheduling, subcontractors and project resources.
• Maintain strong client relationships and oversee contract compliance and change management
• Promote safety, quality and continuous operational improvement
• Identify project risks, resolve challenges and communicate performance to senior leadership
• Oversee project closeout and ensure contractual and financial requirements are met

Requirements

• 5+ years of electrical construction project management experience
• Experience delivering industrial electrical construction projects is essential
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience with an electrical contractor preferred
• Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, estimating and cost management
• Excellent leadership, communication, organization and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction project management software
• Electrical apprenticeship completion preferred
