General Manager
As the General Manager of our boutique hotel in Downtown Dallas, you will oversee all aspects of the property’s operations, ensuring brand integrity, personalized service, and a consistent guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a diverse team, cultivating a culture of hospitality & creativity.
- Guide day‑to‑day operations and drive both short‑term and long‑term strategic initiatives.
- Ensure the hotel’s financial performance meets organizational goals, including forecasting revenue, managing discretionary expenditures, and maintaining cash flow.
- Analyze financial and operational information on an ongoing basis to adjust business plans, labor requirements, and operating costs.
- Develop and implement marketing and sales plans to maximize REVPAR and market share; actively sell through calls, property tours, and other outreach.
- Manage human resources functions, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, training, and disciplinary actions.
- Train staff in financial control procedures for cash, vouchers, inventories, and receivables, ensuring regular compliance.
- Identify major revenue and expense opportunities and potential problems; adjust plans accordingly.
- Represent the hotel within the local community and collaborate with staff to elevate guest experiences.
- Prepare and communicate regular business updates to the corporate team.
- Ensure flexibility in scheduling as required by the position.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of principal competition for each market segment.
- Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and a desire for achievement.
- Effectively handle workplace problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving them.
- Ability to work well in stressful situations.
- Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent service.
- Valid driver’s license.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
