General ManagerAs the General Manager of our boutique hotel in Downtown Dallas, you will be the steward of an exceptional and uniquely crafted guest experience. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the property's operations, ensuring that our distinctive brand, personalized service, and intimate atmosphere are consistently delivered.You will lead and inspire a diverse team, fostering a culture of hospitality, creativity, and attention to detail that reflects the character and charm of our hotel. Your responsibilities will include guiding day-to-day operations, driving both short-term and long-term strategic initiatives, and ensuring the hotel's financial performance meets organizational goals.Because boutique hotels thrive on individuality and high-touch service, your daily work may include hands-on collaboration with staff, thoughtful problem-solving, elevating guest experiences, and representing the hotel within the local community.
You will also prepare and communicate regular business updates to the corporate team, who are always available to support you and the property's success.This position may require flexible scheduling availability.RequirementsJob Requirements:Ensure that departments achieve or exceed guest's service expectationsMeet or exceed budgeted profit and margin for the hotelAccurately forecast revenue/cost problems and manages the timing of discretionary expenditures to utilize cash flowAnalyze financial and operational information on an ongoing basis to adjust business plans, labor requirements, and operating costsEnsure hotel staff is trained in financial control procedures for cash, vouchers, inventories, and receivables and that these procedures are regularly followedIdentifies major revenue and expense opportunities and possible problemsAssist team leaders in meeting and exceeding AOS goalsDevelop and implement marketing and sales plans based on demand segments and to maximize REVPAR and Market Share Actively sell through sales calls, property tours, etc.Periodically inspect rooms, building exterior, parking lot, etc.Manage human resources functions including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, training, and disciplinary actionsJob Qualifications:Knowledge of the principal competition for each market segmentHighly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievementMust be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessaryAbility to work well in stressful situationsReadily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest serviceValid Driver's License is requiredThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
