General ManagerThe General Manager is responsible and accountable for all restaurant activities at all times. This role ensures all employees are performing their job responsibilities and meeting expectations in all areas of their job descriptions.Essential functions include consistently providing a quality product and guest service experience that delivers total guest satisfaction, continuously improving the skills, knowledge and morale of all employees, maximizing financial performance and profit, ensuring business and personnel practices are within the law and consistent with company policies and procedures, modeling and encouraging company shared values, demonstrating excellent oral and written communication skills, attending training to remain current on industry trends, participating in company meetings, webinars and conference calls, and performing other duties and/or special projects as assigned in response to changing business conditions and/or requirements.Position qualifications/core competencies include a high school diploma or equivalent, three years of any combination of experience and/or education that demonstrates a commanding knowledge of restaurant operations (preferably QSR), basic knowledge of computers, financial/analytical aptitude including planning, budgeting, scheduling and P & L management experience, excellent planning and time management skills, team building skills, investigative and problem-solving skills, bi-lingual skills are a plus, strong analytical and organizational skills and the ability to identify and implement process improvement strategies with positive business results, and strong work ethics and a high level of confidentiality to ensure proper handling of sensitive information.Work environment includes a fast paced environment working with kitchen equipment in tight quarters. Physical demands include standing for long periods of time, bending and stooping, working around heat, being able to lift 50 – 75 lbs.
