Restaurant General Manager

Chicago, IL | Full-Time

A well-established and growing hospitality group is seeking an experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead daily operations of a high-volume, guest-focused restaurant in Chicago.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on hospitality leader who enjoys building teams, creating memorable guest experiences, and driving strong operational and financial results. The ideal candidate is confident on the floor, highly organized, and able to lead by example in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all day-to-day restaurant operations, including FOH, BOH, service, and guest experience
  • Recruit, train, coach, and retain a high-performing team
  • Lead by example and maintain a strong presence on the floor
  • Manage labor, scheduling, inventory, and operating costs
  • Monitor sales, profitability, and key performance metrics
  • Maintain high standards for hospitality, service, cleanliness, and safety
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and build strong customer relationships
  • Partner with culinary and leadership teams to ensure seamless operations
  • Develop and maintain a positive, accountable, team-oriented culture
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a Restaurant General Manager or similar leadership role
  • Proven success managing a high-volume restaurant
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, labor, and financial management
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to coach and develop employees at all levels
  • Strong hospitality instincts and a genuine passion for the guest experience
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • Must be professional, energetic, and team-oriented
