General Manager

We are opening a new Mediterranean fast-casual restaurant on Taylor Street and are looking for an experienced General Manager to run the day-to-day operation.

We need someone who is motivated, dependable and hands-on. Someone who knows how to manage people but also isn't afraid to jump in and help the staff when we're busy.

This is a brand-new restaurant and we have high expectations for it. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with us and take pride in building a successful operation.

Starting salary is $70,000 per year plus performance-based bonuses. If the restaurant performs well and you help us grow the business, we believe you should be rewarded for it.

Responsibilities include:

• Hiring, training and managing staff
• Scheduling and controlling labor
• Managing daily restaurant operations
• Maintaining food quality and consistency
• Controlling food cost, inventory and waste
• Making sure the restaurant is clean and properly maintained
• Maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
• Handling customer issues when necessary
• Making sure service is fast and customers are taken care of
• Working with ownership to increase sales and control expenses

We would prefer someone with restaurant management experience, especially fast casual, QSR or another high-volume operation.

We're not looking for someone who spends the entire day sitting in an office. We want a manager who is present, knows what's happening in the restaurant and earns the respect of the employees by working alongside them when necessary.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone we can trust to take responsibility for the restaurant and treat the business like it's their own.

There is a lot of opportunity here for the right person. We're starting with one location, but our goal is to grow, and we'd like to find someone who can grow with us.
