As a SONIC Drive-In General Manager, you will lead your team in an ongoing effort to give our guests a great service experience!
You will be in charge of training and supporting drive-in employees, ensuring that food and service is delivered in a clean, safe, and efficient manner to the most loyal fans in the industry!Essential General Manager job duties are listed below:Manages, trains, monitors and coaches crew/team members, carhops and skating carhopsDirects and assigns drive-in employees as needed to ensure operational standards are metAdheres to and monitors employee compliance of the drive-in employee handbook, policies and practicesPerforms restaurant opening and/or closing dutiesPrepares employee work schedules; monitors and makes appropriate adjustments to restaurant staffing levelsMonitors and maintains inventory levels. Places orders for food, paper and other supplies as neededCompletes and maintains all drive-in employment related records and payroll recordsReinforces a "customer first" culture and ensures all employees are focused on "fast, fresh, and friendly"Resolves guest requests. Reports guest complaints to immediate supervisor and resolves guest complaintsInterview and hire restaurant crew and management team members to achieve proper staffing levelsDevelops action plans to resolve unfavorable operational or financial trendsAdditional General Manager requirements:High school diploma or equivalent required.
Studies in business, management or related fields are helpfulMinimum of two (6) months of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred)Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practicesKnowledge of federal and state labor laws as well as local health and sanitation laws and regulationsLeadership and supervisory practices and skills; effective verbal and written communication skillsThe ability to work days, nights and weekends (some holidays as well)Willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at SONICExcellent benefits including vacation, insurance, retirement plan, and stock ownership.
