This role requires a hands-on leader who can coach managers, develop future leaders, drive community engagement (Spirit Nights, fundraisers, local events), and maintain operational excellence.Key responsibilities include:Deliver outstanding hospitality every shiftEnsure restaurant cleanliness, food quality, and service standardsMaintain strong product knowledge (yes, pancakes and pies included!)Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionallyRecruit, train, and coach managers and team membersBuild depth charts and succession plansConduct performance reviews and leadership development plansFoster a positive, respectful, and accountable team cultureManage labor, food cost, and controllable expensesDrive sales through local marketing and community partnershipsEnsure compliance with health, safety, HR, and brand standardsMaintain accurate reporting and operational metricsLead Spirit Nights, school partnerships, and fundraising eventsRepresent Village Inn in the local communityBuild relationships with guests, vendors, and neighborsWhat we're looking for:3+ years restaurant management experience (GM or Assistant GM preferred)Strong leadership and coaching skillsFinancial acumen and operational disciplinePassion for hospitality and community involvementAbility to lead in a fast-paced environmentWeekend/holiday availabilityBenefits:Competitive salary + bonus opportunitiesMeal discountsPaid Time Off (eligibility requirements apply)Health & supplemental insurance optionsLeadership development & career growthTransfer opportunities within Walker Group restaurants across 12 statesOur promise: At Village Inn, you'll be part of a company that values family, community, and growth.
