JOB REQUIREMENTS AND DUTIES

You are responsible for everything that happens during your shift, including:

• All cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations.
• Staffing, paperwork, food management, adherence to standards, and overall store cleanliness.
• Marketing, profitability, attendance, punctuality, and transportation to/from work.
• Ensuring the store’s image is perfect.

QUALIFICATIONS

General job duties for all store team members include:

• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients, prepare product, and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility daily.
• Provide orientation and training on the job.
• Comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers.
• Perform basic arithmetic accurately.
• Make correct monetary change.
• Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Coordinate motor skills for precise movements.

WORK CONDITIONS

• Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather when removing trash and performing outside tasks.
• In‑store temperatures ranging from 36 °F in cooler areas to 90 °F+ in some work areas.
• Fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces/tools up to 500 °F.
• Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
• Use of a hand truck for bulk product deliveries up to 50 lb each case.
• Carrying and pushing trays of pizza dough (≈12 lb per tray).
• Climbing stairs or ladders with high temperature materials.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Standing for most tasks.
• Walking short distances on various surfaces.
• Basic sitting for paperwork.
• Lifting up to 50 lb cases and stacking up to 72 in. high.
• Carrying large cans (≈3 lb) and heavier items (≈30 lb).
• Operating dollies to move trays requiring up to 7.5 lb force.
• Occasional climbing of stairs or ladders.

DRIVING SPECIFIC DUTIES

• Deliver product by car to customers’ doors.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Access to an insured vehicle for delivery.
• Navigate adverse terrain, multi‑story buildings, and private homes.
• Carry pizzas and beverages while walking, climbing, or driving.

Additional Information

• Forward bending at the pizza assembly station for 30‑45 seconds at a time, repeated throughout the day.
• Crouching or squatting when stocking shelves and cleaning low areas.
• Reaching up to 72 in. for oven controls and price changes, and downwards for tasks such as scooping cornmeal.
• Eye‑hand coordination required for shaping dough and manipulating pizza tools.
• Use of pencils, pens, computers, telephones, calculators, pizza cutters, and peels.
