About the Job
Assistant Manager – Domino’s Pizza. The primary responsibility is to oversee all store operations during the shift, ensuring that cost control, inventory, cash, and customer relations are managed effectively while setting a positive example for the crew.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage staffing, paperwork, cost controls, and cash control.
- Ensure food management, on‑time scheduling, and smooth store operations.
- Maintain a perfect image and adherence to company standards.
- Deliver excellent customer service with strong attendance and punctuality.
- Coordinate transportation on‑and‑off‑site and keep the store clean and organized.
- Assist with marketing activities and profitability goals.
General Store Duties
- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Respond to and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete related paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facilities approximately daily.
Training & Onboarding
Orientation and training will be provided on the job.
Communication Skills
- Provide clear written instructions.
- Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers via phone and in person.
Essential Functions & Skills
- Perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Provide correct monetary change.
- Handle verbal, written, and telephone tasks with precision.
- Use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
- Navigate to customer addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Operate safely in adverse terrain, including multi‑story buildings and private homes.
Work Conditions
- Work in varying outdoor and indoor temperatures (36–90°F).
- Encounter sudden temperature changes, fumes from food odors, coronkey dust, and hot surfaces or tools from ovens up to 500°F.
- Work in cramped areas like walk‑in coolers; use sharp edged, moving mechanical parts.
- Delivery tasks involve walking, driving, and occasional stair navigation.
Sensory Requirements
- Use phone (talking and hearing) and near/mid‑range vision for most tasks.
- Depth perception and distinction between hot and cold surfaces.
- Vision during driving, including day‑time and night‑time conditions.
Temperament & Physical Requirements
- Direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, collaborate with others, and work under stress.
- Navigate spaces safely; climb stairs or ladders infrequently.
- Stand, walk, sit, lift, carry, push, pull, climb, stoop/bend, crouch/squat, and reach continuously throughout the shift.
- Deliver pizzas and related items, requiring the ability to carry up to 50 pounds and handle pallets or trays.
- Drive within the designated delivery area; possess a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Own or have access to an insured vehicle suitable for delivery.
