General Maintenance WorkerLocation: Dugway Proving GroundSummary: Under direct supervision of the Housing Manager. Performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in trades such as: painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work. Work involves a variety of the following duties: replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors; using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceiling; repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets; painting structures and equipment; repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks; replacing damaged paneling and replacing broken window panes; and performing general maintenance on equipment.Qualifications: Require basic knowledge & experience in construction trades (painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electric).Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent work experience.Purpose of Classification: Provide general maintenance and labor services to the Housing Shop in accordance with the Dugway Proving Ground PWS.Duties & Responsibilities:Respond to service calls within the allowable timeframeParticipation in Quality Control and Safety ProgramMust adhere to the Lockout / Tagout ProgramPerform daily checks on company provided vehicleAccomplished work in compliance with government regulations and all building codesAssists in identifying material requirements for work in government acceptable formatOperates general purpose vehiclesUnder supervision, operate shop equipment, machinery, and power tools related to job tasksAccomplishes work utilizing safe work practices, procedures, and adherence to OSHAPerform related duties as requiredSpecial Knowledge / Skills Required:Must be able to meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain the required government security clearanceMust possess valid State Driver's License.DPG Services JV LLP is an equal opportunity employer.
