Duties
- Manage a full caseload of litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda.
- Conduct thorough legal research and draft persuasive briefs.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials and mediations.
- Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
- Collaborate with partners on trial preparation and legal strategy.
- Participate in arbitration and settlement negotiations.
- Review case materials and prepare evaluations and reports.
- Ensure timely case progression and compliance with deadlines.
- Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and support staff.
- Manage and cultivate client relationships.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active Illinois Bar license in good standing.
- Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience.
- Strong background in personal injury and civil litigation.
- Demonstrated courtroom and trial experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and work ethic.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications
- Active Illinois Bar license in good standing.
