This position is available in our New York City, Long Island or White Plains office.This position offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement.We are actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Attorney with at least 3 years of experience to join our high-performing litigation team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to defend complex cases in general liability, premises liability, personal injury, tort claims, and a variety of other areas.
With an emphasis on client-focused service, this position offers a collaborative and dynamic environment that encourages professional growth and the opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of legal matters.ResponsibilitiesIndependently manage a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to endWork closely with other attorneys and partners on legal projectsRegularly handle court appearances and depositionsCommunicate with clients and provide status reportsQualificationsJD from an accredited law schoolAdmitted to practice in New York3-8 years litigation experience, including general liability, personal injury, premises liability, and insurance defense.Experience in trucking-related litigation, construction/labor law, and/or transportation matters is highly preferred.Understanding of NY Construction Law (Labor Law §§200, 240, 241) and experience with OSHA proceedings are a plus.Ability to integrate into a fast-team-oriented environmentLegal project management experience is helpfulWilson Elser offers a competitive salary and benefits package designed to support our attorneys both professionally and personally. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances.
