General Laborer / Skilled Laborer (Laborer I & II)

Blane Casey ContractorsBlane Casey Contractors is looking for motivated General Laborers and Skilled Laborers to join our growing field team. We build projects of all sizes and complexity across Maine, including educational, municipal, commercial, multifamily, industrial, and community-focused work.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in a clean and safe job site, and wants to grow their skills in the construction industry. Whether you're newer to construction or already have experience under your belt, we're looking for reliable team players who are ready to work hard and learn.What You'll DoDuties will vary by project and experience level, but may include:General job site cleanup, organization, and material stagingLoading, unloading, and safely handling materials and deliveriesAssisting carpenters and other trades with lifting, setting, and moving materialsSupporting concrete work, demolition, grouting, saw-cutting, and backfillingInstalling temporary protection, signage, barriers, and erosion control measuresOperating hand tools and small equipment (plate tampers, power buggies, core drills, etc.) as directedAssisting with layout, formwork setup, and site logisticsMaintaining job site safety and proactively identifying hazardsAttending safety meetings and following all company and OSHA safety protocolsWorking closely with the site superintendent and crew to keep the project moving forwardMentoring and supporting entry-level laborers (for experienced candidates)What We're Looking ForLaborer I – Entry LevelWillingness to learn, take direction, and work hardReliable transportation and consistent attendanceAbility to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding workOSHA 10 preferred (required within 30 days of hire)Laborer II – Skilled1+ year of construction experienceComfortable using power tools and small equipmentBasic understanding of construction safety and job site workflowAbility to work independently and prioritize tasksOSHA 10 required (OSHA 30 preferred)Blueprint reading is not required but is a plus.Pay Range(Pay based on experience, skill level, and certifications)BenefitsCompetitive wagesTiered PTOPaid holidaysCompany-paid short- and long-term disabilityHealth insurance (50/50 split for employee-only coverage)HSA match up to $ (k) retirement plan with up to 3.5% company matchCompany-paid life insuranceCompany vehicles provided depending on job site locationIf you're dependable, safety-minded, and want to be part of a team that takes pride in quality work and craftsmanship, we'd love to hear from you.
