Overview
A well-established multispecialty group in Fall River, MA is seeking a fellowship-trained Gastroenterologist to join an experienced GI team. This role offers a balanced combination of outpatient clinic, endoscopic procedures, and inpatient consult responsibilities. New graduates and experienced physicians are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions including intestinal, hepatic, pancreatic, and biliary disorders.
- Perform endoscopic procedures in an on-site outpatient endoscopy suite supported by full anesthesia, nursing, and pathology teams.
- Advanced endoscopy skills are welcome but not required.
- Perform GI consults at Saint Anne's Hospital with access to imaging and interventional support.
- Collaborate with nurse practitioners and hospital staff to manage consult volume efficiently.
- Work closely with a team of board-certified Gastroenterologists and NPs to ensure high-quality, coordinated patient care.
- Outpatient endoscopy sessions (shared among 6 GI physicians)
- Hospital consult rotation (approximately 1:12 weeks)
- Outpatient clinic visits during remaining weeks
- Call expectations: 1:12 , described as mild.
- During consult weeks, 1-2 NPs are always present in the hospital to provide support.
- MD or DO degree
- Fellowship-trained in Gastroenterology
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Eligible for Massachusetts medical licensure
