Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat patients for gastroenterology illnesses and disorders
- Develop a plan of care for each patient, including complete medical history, physician examination, diagnosis, appropriate treatment and/or referral
- Confer with consulting physicians, nurses, patients and patients family concerning treatment and care of patients
- Refer those cases that require specialist services but maintain responsibility, assuring that continuity of care is provided
Compensation
- $380,000 per year
Qualifications
- M.D or D.O
- License to practice medicine in Louisiana
- Completion of an internal medicine residency
- Completion of a gastroenterology fellowship
