General Dentist
Location: US-NY-Hawthorne | Position Type: Part‑Time | Hours Per Week: 19
Overview
Touro College of Dental Medicine invites applications for clinical faculty. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications. The positions will remain open until filled. The Search Committee is especially interested in candidates who, through their clinical experience, research activity, academic teaching and/or community service, will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
Responsibilities
- Provide predoctoral preclinical didactic and laboratory instruction, supervise patient care in the comprehensive care programs, teach, and perform associated administrative responsibilities, committee membership, and scholarly activity.
- Hold a DDS/DMD from a CODA‑accredited dental school or equivalent, and possess a certificate of training from an ADA‑accredited AEGD or GPR program, or other advanced degrees and previous teaching experience.
- Be eligible for licensure in New York State.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- Doctor of Medical Dentistry or Doctor of Dental Surgery required.
- Dental License Registration required.
- DEA Number required.
- CPR Certification required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication required.
- Strong attention to detail required.
- Ability to manage and organize daily tasks independently and with a team while balancing multiple projects and meeting deadlines required.
- Accuracy and productivity in completing tasks required.
- High degree of interpersonal competency: professionalism, diplomacy, judgment, and discretion required.
- Ability to develop positive and cooperative relationships with students, faculty, and colleagues required.
- Ability to solve complex problems and meet deadlines required.
Maximum Salary
USD $17,500.00/Yr.
Minimum Salary
USD $14,000.00/Yr.
