General Cardiology Attending

Position Description

University of California, San Francisco, Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology, is seeking a qualified candidate with expertise in general cardiology to join a rapidly growing clinical cardiology program.

Qualifications

• Board eligible/board certified (or equivalent) in Cardiovascular Disease with current clinical expertise in outpatient and inpatient cardiology.
• Outstanding clinician with demonstrated teaching interest and skills.
• Must hold an MD (or equivalent degree such as MD/PhD, MD/MPH).
• Qualified for appointment at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as an attending physician on inpatient and consult services and provide outpatient general cardiology patient care.
• Continue the program’s growth in the outpatient arena and provide world‑class service to cardiovascular patients in the Bay Area and beyond.

Salary and Benefits

The minimum base salary range for this position is $114,100–$344,400, set by the posted UC salary scales according to rank and step at appointment. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides eligibility for additional compensation.
