General Cardiologist

Carilion Clinic is seeking a General Cardiologist to join their faculty in Martinsville, VA. This opportunity involves working with an experienced physician assistant and nursing staff within an office supported by a well-established primary care practice. The successful candidate will be part of a large academic cardiology practice, contributing to clinical practice, resident and medical student education, and research.

Practice Info

• Work with an experienced physician assistant and nursing staff.
• Office space supported by a well-established primary care practice of 9 physicians and 3 nurse practitioners.
• Additional clinic time may be allocated to Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital, a 35-bed facility, one day a week.
• Supported by a large academic cardiology practice with Roanoke Memorial Hospital, a 703-bed acute-care academic medical center.
• Carilion Clinic's Cardiovascular Institute will expand significantly over the next seven years with over $1 billion in capital improvements, including $200 million for the new Crystal Spring Tower dedicated to heart patients.
• The Section of Cardiology has fellowships in general, interventional and structural cardiology.

• Join the faculty of the Section of Cardiology.

Compensation

• Min Starting Salary: $520,000.
• Max Starting Salary: $748,056.
• Eligible to participate in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus compensation programs to improve the minimum salary.
• Historical averages of Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus earnings are included in the maximum salary.
• Incentive Pay: Two Tier Bonus Plan.
• Relocation Allowance up to $10,000.

Requirements

• Board certification or eligibility in cardiovascular disease.
• Echo and nuclear skills.
• Pacemaker experience is a plus.
• Consideration for an invasive, non-interventional trained cardiologist.
