General/Cardiac Anesthesiologist
A hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is seeking a TEE-certified or TEE-certification-eligible Anesthesiologist with a cardiac fellowship to join their integrated anesthesia department. This role involves providing anesthesia for cardiac, liver transplant, and general cases, with a focus on a high volume of cardiac cases. The incoming physician will also contribute to teaching medical students and CRNA trainees.
Practice Info
- Integrated anesthesia department of 29 with 40 CRNAs
- Join 6 cardiac anesthesiologists
- Urban level 1 trauma center and transplant program
- Expected 500 cardiac cases for FY21 (approximately 400 pump cases)
- Provide anesthesia for cardiac, liver transplants (70+), and general cases
- Cases include LVAD, TAVR, aortic, AVR, MIDCAB, CABG, and minimally invasive mitral clips
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia for cardiac, liver transplants, and general cases
- Supervise and provide teaching services for medical students, and CRNA trainees, as designated by the clinical director and the department
Compensation
- Competitive compensation package
- Liver cases are paid separately
- Cardiac call is 1:6 and taken from home with post call day off or paid if you come in
- No general call

Requirements
- TEE certified or in the process of becoming TEE certified
- Cardiac fellowship
- MD or DO for general and cardiac anesthesia
- Completion of an anesthesiology residency
- J1 and H1-B visa sponsorship available
