General Assembly / Machine Operator . In this role, you'll be part of the manufacturing process, assembling and operating machinery to produce high-quality brushes used across various industries. Location: Mentor, OH
Shifts: 1st shift - 7:20 am - 3:50 pm, Monday- Friday - $16.25/hour
2nd shift - 4 pm - 12:30 am, Monday- Friday - $17.25/hour
Perks: Temperature controlled environment, pay increase upon permanent hire, and a $500 sign on bonus!
This is a contract to hire opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform simple, repetitive hand and machine production tasks to safely and efficiently assemble or twist brushes made from various materials
* Cut and prepare fill material for use in brush assembly or twisting operations
* Spread and position fill material evenly between stem wires using guides or stops
* Twist and assemble brushes in varying order quantities and package them for shipment
* Obtain first-piece inspections and monitor work in process against quality standards
* Follow work instructions, safety protocols, and operating procedures for machine loading and adjustments
* Occasionally perform additional tasks such as attaching handles, ferrules, or couplings; threading stems; pulling springs; trimming ends; and shaping wire
* Record production data accurately and report any equipment issues, defective materials, or unusual conditions to the supervisor
