General Anesthesiologist Opportunity – Greater Fort Lauderdale, FL. Envision Physician Services seeks a BC/BE General Anesthesiologist for a full‑time position at HCA Florida Westside Hospital in Plantation, Florida, located in the heart of the Greater Fort Lauderdale area.

Key Responsibilities

• Coverage across the main hospital and surgery center.
• Provide anesthesia care for a diverse case mix, including:
  • Neurosurgery and neuro‑interventional
  • Thoracic and vascular surgery
  • Orthopedics (including spine)
  • General surgery, trauma, urology
  • Plastics, ENT
  • Electrophysiology and endoscopy
  • Extensive regional anesthesia opportunities for orthopedic, vascular, and general surgery cases.
• Annual case volume of approximately 7,200.
• No pediatric, OB, or trauma call.
• Beeper call from home: 4–5 first calls a month and 1 or 5 weekend calls.
• Post‑call day off.

Schedule & Call

First call once a month during the week, with additional weekend calls as needed. Beeper call from home for coverage.

Hospital & Program Details

HCA Florida Westside Hospital is a 296‑bed facility that offers a case load of general, orthopedic, cardiac, thoracic, vascular, GYN, ENT, urology, spine, and intracranial neurosurgery. It maintains an ACGME‑accredited Anesthesiology Residency Program with university affiliations, enrolling 24 residents (six per year). The hospital has active anesthesia delivery programs outside the OR, including the cardiac cath lab, electrophysiology lab, MRI and interventional suite with neuro and interventional vascular procedures.
