Bring your ambition to the table as we unlock new doors together, taking your career to the next level.Bring your experience and be empowered to innovate.As a General Accounting Manager on the Accounting team, a typical day for you will include:Maintaining and demonstrating a thorough understanding of general accounting systems, procedures, and GAAPEnsuring an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close for assigned brands/entitiesEnsuring related balance sheet accounts are accurately reconciled and are fully supportedManaging the monthly closing activities for assigned brands, entities, and line items, in compliance with the closing checklist and internal control proceduresReviewing and approving monthly brand operating P&Ls, ensuring adequate commentary to address fluctuations in trend and variance to budgetCollaborating within the General Accounting and finance departments as well as with cross functional team members, such as in brand operations, marketing, etc.

to support the achievement of overall department goals and objectivesMonitoring and analyzing the work of direct reports to develop and implement more efficient procedures, technology utilization and automation, and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracyBring your skills and be inspired to achieve success.(Required qualifications)Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in corporate accounting and/or auditing/assurance is requiredMinimum three (3) years of experience in a leadership role is requiredAn active CPA license is preferredPublic company/SOX experience strongly is preferredLarge, automated, integrated accounting system proficiency. MS Dynamics 365 is preferred.Skills: Ability to effectively lead, train, assess, coach, and motivate staffAbility to effectively communicate with staff and follow up to ensure the department and company goals/assignments are completed accurately and timelyStrong proficiency in Excel and WordStrong business partner with the ability to provide insightful analysis and presentationsProven leadership and collaborative cross-functional teamwork skillsContinuous improvement mindset: willingness to continue to learn, apply learnings and ability to operationalize improvements through othersThrives in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, deadline-driven, dynamic business environmentEducation: Bachelor’s degree in accounting is requiredSchedule / in-office requirements: Based out of our Irving, Texas headquarters or Waco, Texas headquartersBring your goals and be enabled to reach them.
