General Accounting / Bookkeeper PositionGeneral Accounting / Bookkeeper Location: Suitland Md. 20746 Employment Type: Full-time On site About the Role We're looking for a detail-oriented General Accounting Bookkeeper to support daily financial operations and ensure accurate, timely recordkeeping. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, thrives on organization, and takes pride in maintaining clean, reliable financial data.

SALARY RANGE of 45k to 65k PLUS depending on skills, dependability, and ability to get the job done in a timely manner.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and update the general ledger with accuracyProcess accounts payable and accounts receivableReconcile bank and credit card statementsPrepare monthly financial reports and assist with month-end closeManage payroll entries and coordinate with payroll providersTrack expenses, receipts, and vendor documentationAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and year-end preparationSupport the accounting team with audits and compliance tasksMaintain organized digital and physical financial recordsQualifications2+ years of bookkeeping or general accounting experienceStrong understanding of GAAP principlesProficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)Solid Excel/Google Sheets skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational and time-management abilitiesAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive informationPreferred (Not Required)Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldExperience in (industry—construction, retail, nonprofit, etc.)Familiarity with payroll systems (ADP, Paychex, Gusto, etc.)What We OfferCompetitive compensationHealth, dental, and vision benefitsPaid time off and holidays401k with company matchOpportunities for growth and professional developmentSupportive, collaborative work environment
