Roles And Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to compute workloads, storage, networking, pipelines, orchestration tools, and cluster performance.
- Handle alerts, triage tickets, drive root‑cause analysis and ensure timely resolution.
- Provide L1/L2/L3 support for GCP platforms, ensuring platform stability, health, and SLA adherence.
- Monitor GCP services (Compute Engine, BigQuery, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Composer, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, etc.).
- Hands‑on skills in observability tools and event‑driven alerting.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, containers, and orchestration (Kubernetes preferred).
- Ability to troubleshoot GCP workloads involving pipelines, clusters, jobs, and serverless components.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform services.
- Expertise in FinOps practices, budget governance, cost dashboards, and real‑time cost monitoring.
- Proficiency in BigQuery performance tuning and cost management.
- Strong experience with Python, SQL, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Cloud Build).
- 8–10 years of experience in cloud operations, platform engineering.
Preferred Certifications
- GCP Associate Cloud Engineer
- FinOps Practitioner certification
