Hiring: GCP Engineer – Kubernetes / Docker / Cloud Infrastructure
We're hiring an experienced GCP Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native technologies to design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud infrastructure.
Role: GCP Engineer
Location: Chicago, IL – Hybrid
Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension)
Required Skills
? Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
? Experience deploying and managing containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (GKE)
? Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Deployment Manager
? Hands-on experience integrating applications with MongoDB and Redis Cache
? Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and scalability
? Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies
? Knowledge of cloud resource performance optimization and cost management
Key Responsibilities
?? Design, deploy, and manage containerized applications on GCP and GKE
?? Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, scalability, and availability
?? Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform or Deployment Manager
?? Integrate cloud-native applications with MongoDB and Redis
?? Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to improve CI/CD pipelines
?? Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and networking issues
?? Ensure cloud environments follow security and architecture best practices
?? Maintain technical documentation and deployment standards
Preferred Skills
- GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification or equivalent
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or Google Cloud Monitoring (Stackdriver)
- Knowledge of Microservices Architecture and Service Mesh technologies such as Istio
