GBM - Private - Investment Banking Associate, Industrials - Chicago

Overview

We are looking for a professional to join our Industrials team in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs. The role focuses on complex financial challenges, advising on mergers, acquisitions, IPOs, and other financial solutions for a range of clients including corporations, pension funds, financial sponsors, and governments. Industries covered include aerospace and defense, automotive, building and construction, business services, capital goods, diversified industrials, transportation and infrastructure, as well as paper, forest products and packaging.

Responsibilities

Our Associates play an important role in developing and strengthening client relationships, participating on advisory teams, and structuring and executing a full range of financial transactions. Responsibilities include:

• Creating and analyzing financial models.
• Organizing and preparing client presentations.
• Managing transaction processes and assisting in transaction structuring.
• Coordinating teams of tax advisors, attorneys, and bankers for various transactions.
• Leading due diligence processes and participating in negotiations of legal documentation.
• Maintaining client communication and representing Goldman Sachs in structuring client transactions.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of investment banking or equivalent experience.
• History of outstanding academic and professional achievement.
• Strong team orientation and demonstration of ability to work effectively with team members in multiple groups and regions.
• Previous Industrials sector experience preferred.
