Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage access at the container gate
• Conduct security patrols on foot or by vehicle
• Operate and monitor CCTV systems and access control systems
• Watch for unusual or suspicious activities that may pose security concerns or safety hazards
• Use 2-way radios, telephones, and computers for effective communication
• Respond promptly to emergencies, sound alarms, or contact police or fire departments as needed
• Enforce property and gate entry rules, preventing unauthorized access
• Observe and ensure authorized removal of property adheres to required protocols
• Investigate and document reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
• Deliver courteous and professional assistance to customers, employees, and visitors

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
• Valid Driver’s License with at least five years of driving experience preferred
• Previous security experience is a plus
• Ability to adapt and respond effectively to challenging situations
• Flexible availability to accommodate various shifts
